Armenian Freenet (Freenet.am) provides FREE Internet services to promote the development of the information technologies and national information infrastructure in Armenia. Freenet.am provides: FREE E-mail service, FREE Webhosting service & FREE Dial-up access service with national WWW resources availability via proxy service.
Following the best traditions of the Internet, Freenet.am provides FREE services to individuals,
as well as non-profit, education and research organisations, State and other institutions.

Freenet.am was created in the framework of
United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Armenia Internet Project in 1997. The Internet Project aimed to support the development of Internet and information technologies in Armenia.
At the end of the initial project in 2006, UNDP requested that
Internet Society of Armenia (ISOC-AM) take over the management of Freenet.am.
ISOC-AM is current manager of Freenet.am. Hosting and technical support for the FreeNet.am is provided by the
ASNET-AM, which is the joint structure of laboratories of
Institute for Informatics and Automation Problems (IIAP) of the
National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia (NAS RA)
